For the fourth consecutive year, Viox & Viox is honored to award two graduating Lloyd Memorial High School students with $1,000 scholarships. The James H. Viox, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was created in 2020 to mark the 75th anniversary of Viox & Viox and is named after the Erlanger firm’s founder, James H. Viox, Jr. (Lloyd High School Class of 1934).
This year’s scholarship recipients are Edson Hernandez and Joseph Cooley.

Edson Hernandez will be attending Northern Kentucky University and plans to get his bachelor’s degree in physics. Edson was a teacher’s aide at Lloyd and was also actively involved in several organizations, including National Honor Society, student council, and the academic team.
Joseph Cooley will be attending Georgetown College to study Kinesiology. He hopes to one day create his own business to train athletes. Joseph was team captain of the varsity football and basketball teams and was a senior class officer at Lloyd. He was also involved in other extracurricular activities such as student government and National Honor Society.
We are so proud of these high-achieving seniors and wish them the best as they begin their college careers.
