On August 8, 1907, the first professional engineering license was issued to Charles Bellamy in Wyoming. Over a century later, the civil engineering industry has vastly grown, evolving into a critical pillar of modern society. Today, civil engineers are at the forefront of designing, constructing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our daily lives, from roads and bridges to water treatment facilities and urban development projects. We also extend our appreciation to engineers around the globe who tirelessly shape our world. Together, we engineer a brighter future!
