Viox & Viox is proud to announce that Dominic Michels is now a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Kentucky!
Dominic joined our team in early 2023, bringing with him five years of hands-on experience in site construction from working in his family’s business. Since joining Viox & Viox, he has quickly become an essential part of our engineering team, applying his field knowledge and technical expertise to the design and construction administration of numerous public infrastructure projects—including street, sidewalk, and utility improvements.
Dominic’s commitment to learning, detail-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic have been evident from day one. Earning his PE license is a significant milestone that reflects his dedication to the civil engineering profession and to delivering high-quality, impactful work for the communities we serve.
Outside of the office, Dominic is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hosting family gatherings, and volunteering through his church. Whether he’s fishing, hunting, camping, working in the yard, or enjoying a good book, Dominic brings the same level of enthusiasm and care to his personal life as he does to his professional work.
Dominic holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and he is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers. He was also honored as the Outstanding Graduate Student in Civil Engineering during his graduate studies.
