On July 15th, Viox & Viox welcomed eager high school and college students for Civil Bites & Insights — a hands-on career exploration event designed to provide a real-world look into civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture. Filled with interactive activities, meaningful conversations, and site visits, the day aimed to inspire the next generation of problem solvers and community builders. Our goal was simple: to connect with students, share our passion for the industry, and help them envision exciting career possibilities.
Civil Bites & Insights: What Went Down
Students spent the day exploring what it really means to be a civil engineer. They worked hands-on with topographic maps to figure out where buildings and utilities belong, asked questions to a mix of experienced pros and fresh faces, and got a close-up look at surveying tools, including a drone that stole the show. They even visited real job sites to see how their ideas and plans become actual places people use every day. The day wrapped up with ice cream and good vibes, leaving everyone inspired about the future.
