For the seventh consecutive year, Viox & Viox is proud to support graduating students from Lloyd Memorial High School through the James H. Viox, Jr. Memorial Scholarship program. Established in 2020 to commemorate the firm’s 75th anniversary, the scholarship honors the legacy of James H. Viox, Jr., founder of Viox & Viox and a 1934 Lloyd graduate.
This year, the scholarship selection process was especially difficult due to the outstanding group of applicants. Because of the exceptional students who applied, Viox & Viox chose to expand the program for 2026 and award additional scholarships. We are proud to award $1,000 scholarships to Delight T. and Alison G.. In addition, Viox & Viox is honored to award $500 scholarships to Sydnee M., Calleigh S., and Ruby A..
Delight T. plans to attend Brigham Young University to pursue a degree in Audiology. Throughout high school, she was heavily involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, Youth Ambassadors, church groups, and community service activities. Delight is recognized for her leadership, positivity, and dedication to creating a sense of community among her classmates.
Alison G. plans to attend Northern Kentucky University and is considering studies in Engineering Physics, Education, or Law. Alison has balanced strong academic achievement while adapting to a new culture and learning English after immigrating to the United States. She is known for helping classmates through tutoring and translation support and for her hardworking, resilient attitude.
Sydnee M. plans to attend Berea College to study English with aspirations of a career in journalism or education. Sydnee has been actively involved in volleyball throughout high school, earning leadership roles and team awards while also balancing work and volunteer activities. She demonstrated strong leadership by mentoring and coaching younger players.
Calleigh S. plans to attend Northern Kentucky University to pursue a nursing degree with hopes of working in women’s healthcare. During high school, she was involved in Gifted and Talented, National Honor Society, peer mentoring, mental health initiatives, and student aid programs. Calleigh also balanced work in the hospitality industry while maintaining excellent academic achievement and community involvement.
Ruby A. plans to continue her education at Gateway Community & Technical College and Northern Kentucky University to pursue a career in nursing. Ruby has been involved in church activities, disaster relief efforts, and student leadership opportunities while balancing multiple jobs. She is recognized for her strong work ethic, leadership, and passion for helping others and her community.
Each of these students demonstrated strong leadership, academic achievement, involvement within their school and community, and a bright future ahead. We are inspired by their dedication and accomplishments and are excited to see where their journeys take them next.
