Kentucky Speedway

Viox & Viox began working for Mr. Jerry Carroll in 1997 by extending utilities to a tract of farmland in Gallatin County. Viox & Viox provided all boundary surveys and design services for the water and sanitary sewer system. The Kentucky Speedway opened in 1999. The track was purchased by Speedway MotorSports, Inc in 2008 and underwent a series of expansions to accommodate a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race.

Viox & Viox provided civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architectural services to the Kentucky Speedway which included:

2009 Improvements: Grading design for 1.2 million CY of earthmoving, design of over 20,000 LF of storm sewer, design relocation of Jerry Carroll Blvd. and New Inner Loop Road, Coordination of pump station design for new restroom facilities, and design of water main relocation.  All design and construction were completed between January and June 2009.

2010-2011 Improvements: Additional grading design for camping facilities and parking, RV camping area layout, design of relocated Pit Road and associated infrastructure, utility coordination at Grandstand additions, design of Loop Road Overpass/Interchange at Tunnel Road, new office building site design, additional storm sewer design for extended Inner Loop Road, and sanitary sewer equalization basin study.

2011-2012 Improvements:

Parking lot and access expansions/improvements, coordination of environmental/stream impacts, storm sewer design, water main design along KY 35, and graphic campus maps.
