Lincoln Woods Park is a transformative $5.25 million recreational development designed to serve the growing needs of the community while establishing a modern destination for youth athletics and outdoor recreation. Working under an accelerated schedule of less than two months for design completion, Viox & Viox successfully delivered a comprehensive park design package that kept the project on track for opening prior to the 2027 baseball season.

Viox & Viox was hired to finalize a master plan and create construction drawings for a KHSAA baseball and softball/little league facility at Lincoln Woods Park. Viox & Viox identified major site constraints related to grading, circulation, parking demand, and field layout requirements for both a regulation KHSAA baseball field and a softball/little league field. The team reshaped the original master plan while maintaining the vision and general placement of key amenities. The revised layout improved functionality, increased parking capacity, and balanced earthwork to create a more efficient and buildable site design.

Phase 1 improvements include a new artificial turf infield baseball field, a new artificial turf infield softball/little league field, expanded parking, a regulation-size basketball court, and landscaping enhancements. Supporting facilities include a new concessions building with restrooms and storage, as well as new dugouts, all designed by KZF Design, who also provided sports field and site lighting design.

Viox & Viox also provided construction documents, bidding assistance, construction administration, construction staking, environmental coordination, grading design in preparation for future park phases, and 3D renderings for marketing purposes.
