Viox & Viox provided civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, and permitting services for the new Taylor Mill Fire Station located in Taylor Mill, Kentucky. Our team supported the site development from the initial survey through final construction documents and permitting.

Our surveying work included a detailed topographic survey and boundary verification to establish the base mapping for the project. The survey documented existing elevations, drainage features, utilities, roadways, paved areas, landscaping, easements, and other site features, along with the additional topographic surveying needed for the off-site sanitary sewer extension.

For the site design, Viox & Viox developed the final site layout and grading, storm sewer system, stormwater detention and water quality design, utility routing, sanitary sewer service, erosion control, and landscape planting plan. Our team also coordinated with local utility providers, Sanitation District No. 1, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to address stormwater requirements, utility service, and access from Taylor Mill Road.

Viox & Viox also prepared final construction documents and supported the project through permitting, including coordination with Kenton County, SD1, KPDES, and KYTC. The Taylor Mill Fire Station highlights the coordination required to bring a public safety facility from existing site conditions to a permit-ready design. It was rewarding for our team to contribute our surveying, engineering, and landscape architecture expertise to an important facility for the Taylor Mill community.
