ABOUT Boone County Veterans Memorial

In 2023, Viox & Viox partnered with the City of Florence to develop a master plan for the revitalization of the Boone County Veterans Memorial, located on the Florence Government Center Campus. The project aimed to honor the men and women of Boone County who have served in the U.S. military by reconstructing and expanding the existing memorial plaza. The design process began with a comprehensive concept phase in the fall of 2023 and was shaped by thoughtful collaboration with the City to ensure the new space would provide a meaningful experience for all who visit.

The new layout removes the large existing fountain on campus and reimagines the memorial as a focal point of the government center. Existing monuments were carefully refurbished and repositioned to improve visibility, circulation, and space for reflection. The plan also introduced new monument signage, granite features, and reserved space for future memorials, while creating a stronger visual and physical connection between the plaza and the surrounding campus.

Throughout the project, Viox & Viox provided a range of services including conceptual design, multiple rendering iterations, 3D visualizations, full construction documentation, and cost estimating. Our team also supported the project through land surveying, construction staking, bidding services, and construction administration.
