ABOUT silver lake park

In 2019, Viox & Viox was tasked by the City of Erlanger to refresh the master plan for one of their most utilized parks, Silverlake Park. After discussing with the City and gathering input from the community, the design team generated a variety of concepts to determine the future vision of the park. The City of Erlanger selected a master plan in 2020 and began constructing the first two phases of the park in the following years. The overall master plan for Silverlake includes revitalized sports fields, resurfaced basketball and tennis courts, an exercise path, a playground for all ages, open play lawns, upgraded restrooms, shelters, plazas, parking enhancements, landscaping, and more.

The first phase of construction focused on the entrance to the park from Division Street. Site work was completed to resurface the access driveway, provide additional parking, establish a sidewalk system to connect amenities, and reinvigorate the basketball courts with surfacing, paint, basketball goals, and fencing.

In the second project phase, the City worked with Viox & Viox to create a design-build package for a new restroom and shelter facility to replace the existing restrooms. Other improvements were completed to realign the parking lot to provide ample space for new playground equipment, seating areas, lawn areas for passive play, a continued sidewalk system, and landscaping.

Viox & Viox has provided the following tasks for the implementation of improvements at Silverlake Park: land surveying, site layout, grading and erosion control, utility design, landscape design, construction documents, construction administration, and construction staking, as well as 2-D master plan renderings.
