Viox & Viox was the lead design firm on all phases of the Mall Road Reconstruction project. This project included traffic flow improvements, new signage, sidewalks, beautification elements, lighting, gateways, plantings, and bioswale stormwater management. Mall Road Reconstruction was completed in two phases over two years.

Mall Road Phase 3, in the early stages, will remediate a landslide problem involving a Gunpowder Creek tributary which crosses under Mall Road. Secondary to solving this issue, this phase will also create an opportunity to extend Connector Road to the access roads adjacent to the Walgreens located at the corner of US 42 and Mall Road. Improvements to these roads fronting on the Florence Center shopping plaza will enhance the safety of pedestrians and vehicular traffic. The road improvements will also include new sidewalks and landscaped islands.
